Peter writes:
How do I backup the Photos Library so the folders remain organized in the external hard drive just like I have it in the Mac?
I read this question and almost replied, “That’s easy!” But the more I thought about it, the more I realized it’s an intricate question, because of how Apple has its own organizational structure that’s invisible in the Photos Library, independent of how you sort images in the Photos app. And because there are several possible answers to the same question.
How to Organize Your LIGHTROOM Photo Collection step by step. Have you ever got to a point where you feel like your Lightroom catalog is such a mess that you just want to declare Lightroom bankruptcy and just start all over again. I’m going to show you how to organize your Lightroom library without having to just ditch everything and start again. If the TIFF file is the standard for scanned photos, for me, there would have to be a hugely compelling reason to choose another format; especially when most of us are only storing away a single master image for every single photograph from our original (analog) paper print, slide, and negative collection. Theres a folder called /Masters in the Mac Photos App, when you ’Show Package Contents’. I was wondering if this contained all Photos and Video including Hidden content. One recommended way I’ve seen to Merge two Photos Libraries is to take master from one and drag it into the Photos app. Magnum Photos has visually documented most of the world’s major events and personalities since the 1930s covering society, politics, events and conflict.
The first question is, really, what is your ideal outcome for this copy on the external drive?
*An exact duplicate of the library. Quit Photos, if it’s active, find the Photos Library, and copy it. The Library includes 100 percent of everything that Photos needs. Done. But that’s probably not what Peter was asking.
*Copy the file structure of the folder in the Photos Library. You can Control-click the Photos Library and select Package Contents, and then access all the folders that form the library. However, Photos organizes images and video into chronological folders— nested by year, month, and day—inside Masters (originals) and Previews (modified versions). This is probably not what Peter wants, either.
*Copy Moments, Albums, Smart Albums, and other organizational structures in the Photos app. Unfortunately, while Apple lets you select multiple images to export at once (via File > Export), you can’t export these album and other structures as folders. You could open albums one at a time, select all the photos inside, and then export them to a folder you create with the same name, but that’s manual and tedious, and doesn’t automatically update.
I’ve recommended PowerPhotos ($30) before, a utility by Fat Cat Software that can merge, de-duplicate, and selectively copy Photos libraries, along with other tasks.
But it can’t (yet?) provide that sort of clean export operation Peter wants.Ask Mac 911

We tend to think of SharePoint as strictly a repository for business-type/Office documents, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs. However, even in the business world, it is not just about the office documents. More and more, visuals, like photos and videos become a necessary content in the daily business life. Previously, I blogged about various options to store videos. Today, I want to explain the different options for storing pictures, photos and different types of images in general.Option 1: Modern Document Library
Yes, this was no typo. The old document library did not have anything special to accommodate photos, and they were stored just like any other documents in a list format, which was boring:
All mac miller songs download. The new modern document library allows for awesome photo viewing capabilities. Built-in Tiles View allows viewing thumbnails of images right within a document library, without a need to click on each image!

Picture library is a separate web part that is available in SharePoint to store images.
Up until the modern library experience, it has been the dedicated place to store images, as it allowed for some of the picture-specific functionalities, like thumbnail preview. Now that the modern document library has those features, a separate picture library is almost not necessary.
That said, a Picture Library, unlike a Document Library, does have some superior image-specific functionalities that might tip the scale in its favor:
*It defaults to Tiles/Thumbnails view by default, unlike Document Library, which defaults to a list view
*It contains some default, image-specific metadata you can use like Date Picture was taken or Enterprise Keywords for metadata tagging
*Another benefit of a picture library is that you can tie it to a Slideshow web part and display photos from the picture library in a slideshow on a page. I listed step-by-step instructions on how to do this here.Option 3: Insert on a PagePhotos Library Masters Vs Originals Wikipedia
Any time you insert an image or images on a classical or modern page, Images end up being stored in a Site Assets Library.Photos Library Masters Vs Originals Free
When you insert images via Modern Page…

They all end up in a Site Assets Document Library.

I suggest that you stick to the Modern Document Library to store pictures. Unless you need that metadata I mentioned above or need to create a slideshow, using a document library would make the most sense. Quite often, you need to store images alongside other documents, so having a separate library would not make sense. For example, one of my clients, they are in Real Estate, so they have different office type documents, alongside property/property maintenance images. They all store them in one library with a subfolder for photos. Makes total sense!
